Work Experience

Your First Steps into the Professional World

Work experience is a fundamental part of the program, offering participants their first real insight into the professional world.

Since most participants arrive with little or no Spanish skills, internships are carefully selected to match their abilities and potential. For this reason, positions in offices, hospitals, or other professional fields aligned with long-term career goals are generally not included in the program. Instead, this experience is designed to immerse participants in Spanish culture and provide insights into lifestyles that differ significantly from their own.

The focus is on practical, hands-on activities that promote cultural exchange and personal development.

What to Expect

There are four key areas where participants have consistently gained meaningful and successful experiences:

  1. Summer Camps
Assisting with organizing sports, games, and activities for children and teenagers—often incorporating the English language.

  2. Hospitality and Tourism
Working as waitstaff, kitchen assistants, or cleaning staff in local cafés, restaurants, and hotels.

  3. Volunteer Work
Supporting local charities that help young mothers, individuals with disabilities, or youth programs.

  4. Agriculture and Gardening

Assisting in local garden centers and collaborating with professional gardeners.
